The Oxford and Cherwell Valley College Football Development Centre is in it’s third year of operation.  Based at the college’s Oxpens Road campus students enrolled onto Sport and Exericse Science programmes can also opt to train with the development centre coaches for a minimum of six hours per week.

Teams compete in the prestigious English Colleges League and also the Oxfordshire and National Under 19 schools cup.  In season 2004-2005 the Boys Development Centre team finished runners up in the English Colleges League and retained the Oxfordshire County Cup.  The Girls Development Centre team finished 5th in their league and retained their SalouFest tournament title from the tour trip to Salou in Spain

Past and present students on the Development Centre include players that have also represented Abingdon Utd FC, Oxford City FC, Carterton Town FC, Brackley Town FC, Wantage Town FC, Oxford City Ladies FC, Marlow Ladies FC and Bristol Rovers Ladies FC.

While achieving their Academic qualification the College has also linked with the OFA to allow students to collect their Level 1 and 2 Coaching qualifications, First Aid, FA Basic Sports Injuries, Community Sports Leaders Award and the Basic Referee’s qualification.
